Fire Pits

WOOD-BURNING
STONE FIRE PITS

Stone fire pits built to burn wood, set on a compacted base and surrounded by stacked stone, block, or pavers. Built to match the patio they sit in.

How It's Built

WHAT GOES INTO A FIRE PIT

Wood-burning only

Every pit we build burns wood. Each one gets a steel insert and a fire-rated liner, so the heat stays where it belongs and the stone surround stays solid.

Base and surround

The pit sits on a compacted aggregate base. Surrounds are stacked limestone, retaining-wall block, or pavers matched to the existing patio.

Size

Pits run 36 to 60 inches across. Seating walls and any new patio around the pit are measured and quoted together with it.

Placement

We set the pit where the grade drains away from the house and where the usual wind won't push smoke at the patio doors or windows.
